Reflect on your experience using computer in any of the causes that you have undertaken at DELL. Relate the computer based task to important concepts mentioned in the 3 phases of CALL

 There are quite a number of subjects we have undertaken and those can be related to the 3 phases of CALL. They are:


Phonetics and Phonology
During the learning process of this course, we were introduced to the software that taught us on how to pronounce English words correctly. In this case, we can relate this course to the communicative phase of CALL since computers were treated as one of the pupils and we think that the process was very user-friendly.

Research Methodology
We were using the internet search engine such as Google, SPSS, Yahoo and etc. In addition, we also used the IIUM library search engine to look for some theses and research that have been conducted before. Besides, in order to complete the research paper, we needed to use the Microsoft Word. Hence, we match this course with the third phase of CALL which is known as integrative CALL.

Semantics
For this course, we used the internet to search for the theses as the materials that needed to be analyzed. In order to make the process of completing the assignment much more efficient, we used Yahoo mailing to submit each of the part of the group member to the group leader who was responsible for handing out the final draft to the lecturer. We used English throughout the process and by that we learn English grammar indirectly. Thus, we can term it as Communicative CALL.

Political Sciences
The lecturer instructed to subscribe to a Facebook group account that he has created in order to have the students informed at all times. In that account, he would announce whether he is unable to give lecture, he also gave the notes or links of something that were related to the course through that account. He also wished us best of luck for the end-of-semester exam. Thus, we call it as the integrative CALL since this is the phase where hypermedia is introduced.
